Rob J Wilson

Was born in Southern Utah and from an early age connected with the beauty of nature.  He apprenticed with a gallery painter at 14 and was able to graduate Summa Cum Laude with his BFA in illustration when he was 18.  He later received his MFA in figurative painting and drawing and has taught at the university level for 10 years all while showing and selling his work nationally and internationally.

Rob's work is exploratory and involves mixed media methods as he paints a variety of subjects, with landscape and portrait subjects being his favorite.  In addition to human portraits, Rob's lifelong love of dogs shines through in his pet portraits.  He has painted numerous Westminster best of breed and best of group winners in addition to mixed breed family members and friends alike.  If you are interested in a free consultation for your own commission, please reach out via the contact form.
